Now that we have glimpsed Albert Hammond Jr.’s pretty vacant (apartment) album art, we can get to the more substantive business of hearing what the relatively prolific Stroke has in store for his second solo LP. “GfC,” which is the tune’s core chord progression (G-F minor-C, right guys?), is very promising, a quick cut or rangy, garagey guitars and a howling Hammond lead vocal. At what point does Julian feel threatened? Maybe at this point. The improperly conjugated ¿Cómo Te Llama? album is out 7/7 via Scratchie, but you can hear this one right now over at iLike (thanks for the tip, Adam).
UPDATE: Now with 100% more MP3…
Albert Hammond, Jr. – “GfC” (MP3)
Good tune.
